TruCitizen Child Safety Standards

Last updated: June 2026 · Published by CreJik Technologies Private Limited ("CreJik", "we"), operator of the TruCitizen app.

1. Our commitment

TruCitizen is a civic-knowledge platform for citizens aged 18 and above. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking and any sexualisation of minors. Such content and behaviour are prohibited on TruCitizen in every form — profile pictures, names, bios, links, nominations, stories, support messages or any other feature.

2. Who may use TruCitizen

TruCitizen is intended only for adults (18+). Accounts are created through Google or Apple sign-in; we do not knowingly allow persons under 18 to hold an account and we remove accounts we identify as belonging to minors (see our Privacy Policy, "Children").

3. Prohibited content and conduct

It is prohibited to upload, share, link to, request or solicit: (a) any sexual or sexualised depiction of a minor, real or generated; (b) content that grooms, sexually solicits or exploits a minor; (c) material that normalises or promotes sexual interest in minors; (d) threats or coercion involving intimate imagery of a minor. Violations lead to immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.

4. In-app reporting

Any user can report a child safety concern from inside the app: Profile → Help & Support → New ticket → "Report a safety concern" (or by e-mail, see §7). Reports can be made about a profile, a photo, a bio or link, a nomination, a story or any other content. Reporting is confidential; the reported user is not told who reported them.

5. How we act on reports

  • Reports are triaged by CreJik staff promptly, with child-safety reports handled with the highest priority.
  • Where content appears to involve CSAE we remove it, suspend the account, preserve the evidence as required by law and block further access. We do not need a court order to act on our own standards.
  • We cooperate with law-enforcement requests made through lawful process.

6. Reporting to authorities and legal compliance

We comply with all applicable child-protection laws, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Confirmed or suspected CSAM is reported to the relevant authorities — in India through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and the local police as required by POCSO — and, where applicable, to the US National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline or the relevant national authority of another country. We retain the material only to the extent and for the period required by law for the purpose of such reporting and then securely delete it.

7. Designated point of contact

Child safety contact: Grievance Officer, CreJik Technologies Private Limited, A6-A9, New Haven, Palghar, Maharashtra - 401501, India · e-mail support@crejik.com (subject line: "[TruCitizen] Child safety"). This person is authorised to speak to Google Play and to authorities about our CSAE prevention practices and compliance.

8. Review of these standards

We review these standards at least once a year and whenever the law or our product changes. The current version is always published at this URL.
